University Archives

The Duke University Archives is the official repository for records of Duke University, and the gateway to its past. The role of the Archives is to identify, acquire, manage, and preserve university records of enduring value and make them available for use in accordance with policies approved by the Board of Trustees, the administration, and the faculty.

News

The University Archives has moved. We are now in the Rare Book, Manuscript, & Special Collections Library. Our reading area is the Dalton-Brand Reading Room, 103 Perkins; use the old tower entrance off the quad.

Renovations to the Library require that we store many of our collections offsite. To ensure that records you want to use will be available, please contact us before you visit.
