Submit print reserves lists to Vesic Circulation Desk as soon as possible. Indicate your name, department and course number. Indicate the circulation period you want:
- Room Use Only
- 3 hour loan (items may leave the library)
- 24 hour loan (items may leave the library)
Personal copies are placed on closed reserve. Items remain on reserve for the current semester only. Once the semester is over, items are returned to general collections.

Borrowing materials from Vesic Library
Duke Faculty = 1 year, automatic renewals
Duke Grads = 1 year, renewable at end of school year (renew through My Library Card)
Duke Undergrads = 4 weeks, renewable
Duke Staff = 1 year, renewable at end of school year (renew through My Library Card)
UNC-Chapel Hill, NCSU, NCCU faculty, students, and staff = 4 weeks, renewable
Journals:
Duke Faculty/Grads/Staff = 24 hours for on-site physics, engineering journals, not renewable; math journals circulate for longer periods and are renewable. LSC journals circulate for 1 week and are renewable.
Duke Undergrads = on-site journals are room use only; LSC journals circulate for 1 week and are renewable.
UNC-Chapel Hill, NCSU, NCCU faculty, students, and staff = on-site, room use only, journals do not circulate.
