Librarian for Engineering and Computer Science
Sarah Park is the Librarian for Engineering and Computer Science. She came to Duke from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, where she was an assistant professor and the Technology and Engineering Librarian. Prior to that, she had been the Reference/ Instruction/ Web Development Librarian at Northwest Missouri State University, where she also taught Computer Science courses as a faculty member. Park received the M.S. degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, as well as a second M.S. degree in Applied Computer Science from Northwest Missouri State University.
As the Librarian for Engineering and Computer Science, Park assists faculty, students, and staff with research through classroom instruction and research consultations. She also collaborates with other librarians and faculty to ensure that the library’s collection supports the curriculum and research needs in those subject areas. In addition, she is an editor of Resources for College Libraries, and in her spare time enjoys application development, woodworking, and cooking.
