About me:
As the subject librarian for global health, I assist students and researchers who are studying or conducting research in global health. I offer classroom instruction, individual research support, and project consultation, as well as selecting materials for library purchase. As the librarian for instructional services and Liaison to the Thompson Writing Program, I help coordinate librarians who teach library research workshops for students taking Writing 101. Before joining Duke Libraries in 2013, I worked in various library jobs at Davidson College, NC Biotech, and Northwestern University Library.
Research interests:
Emerging issues in digital and media literacy; teaching and learning of critical information literacy; impact of the Google/internet/web on knowledge, research, and life as we know it; information privilege and information access disparities; systematic review / knowledge syntheses methodologies
