About John E. Brennan Outdoor Advertising Survey Reports, 1947-1980

The John E. Brennan Outdoor Advertising Survey Reports document the professional endeavors of outdoor advertising design researcher John E. (Jack) Brennan for the time period 1947 to 1980. Featured in this digital collection are forty photographs of outdoor advertisements. Duke University Libraries originally created the descriptive metadata for this collection as part of the Resource of Outdoor Advertising Descriptions (ROAD) database, an NEH grant-funded project to provide access to Duke's outdoor advertising material. Images were then digitized with the assistance of a grant from the National Historical Publications and Records Commission (NHPRC).
