Announcement from A.H. Bangert, chairman of Democratic Executive Committee, encouraging Craven County Democrats to make sure they are registered and qualified to vote in upcoming [1916?] election. "This is to inform all Democrats that J.S. Basnight and his son D.W. Basnight have challenged or caused to be challenged a great number of Democratic voters in the city of New Bern and in other parts of the county.... Fellow Democrats, see that you are qualified to vote and that you vote on November 7th so that we can make a record Democratic vote in this county."
