Access: Building and Collections

During the Fall 2020 semester, entry to Lilly is card access only for faculty, students and staff. Access to the stacks is restricted, but materials can be requested through our Library Takeout Service.

Need to use Lilly materials onsite? Send us an email, and we will arrange it for you, but we do need at least 24-hours notice.

Returning materials? For DVDs and videocassettes, please use the dropbox at the front door. When we're open, you can return books and other items in bins located across from the security check-in desk and next to our service desk in the main lobby. More options can be found here.

Study Spaces

The following spaces will be open for individual study:

  • Few Reading Room (1st Floor)
  • Carpenter Reading Room (1st Floor)
  • North Mezzanine (2nd Floor)

You can reserve a seat for up to 3 hours per day.

ePrinter stations in the Lobby are available without reservation, 2:00-11:00 pm, Monday-Friday. A contactless system requires only that users be close to the printers to print. There is no card swipe -- the print job is released once you select the printer.

Scanners and More

For your scanning needs, we have 3 reservable scanners:

  • KIC Bookeye overhead scanner
  • Epson large bed scanner
  • Epson small bed scanner plus sheet feeder

You can reserve a scanner for up to 2 hours per day.

Want to watch a film or use microform in-house? You can reserve a video viewing station or a microform reader/scanner for up to 3 hours per day.

The CoLab is available during Library hours, and is dedicated solely to 3D printing.

Loanable Technology

External DVD drives, chargers (phone and laptop), and 3D scanners are available for check-out.

Course Reserves: Instructors

Physical reserves are not available this fall. Reserves staff will work with instructors to identify electronic equivalents or scan the chapters/articles that are needed.
