	joining fragments, mounted in glass, left part is
	broken off ; 25 x 78 cm.
Note: Actual dimensions of item are 24.5 x 77.5 cm.
	128 lines.
	Written in five columns across the fibers on the verso
	in Ammon's informal hand; some marginal annotations
	in between the columns, two sets of annotations in
	the right margin written with another pen; written
	along the fibers on the recto in Ammon's careful hand.
	Upper margin of 1 cm.; lower margin of 1.5 cm.; left
	margin of 3 cm.; right margin of 10 cm.
	P.Duk.inv. 177 V was formerly P.Duk.inv. G 177 V.
	Extended list of land from Panopolis (modern name:
	Akhmim), Egypt, written on papyrus. Land is presumably
	owned by the family of Ammon, the well-known scholastikos,
	or lawyer. The holdings are in the various divisions
	of the Panopolite Nome and are often quite small.
	Many numbered plots occur. Lists tenants with some
	of the holdings. Papyrus belongs to archive of Ammon.
	Recto has a private letter in Greek (P.Duk.inv. 177 R).
	P.Duk.inv. 177 V joins P.Köln inv. 4534 and 4538, which
	have been on indefinite loan to Duke University since 1986.
