Note: Actual dimensions of item are 6.7 x 18.1 cm. 26 lines. P.Duk.inv. 913 was written along the fibers on the recto; the address written along the fibers on the verso in a different hand. Upper margin of 0.5 cm.; left margin of 1 cm.; small right margin. Private letter from Egypt, written on papyrus. Letter from Hermias to Apollon. Hermias repeats a request to Deios, the royal scribe and to Apollon about two close friends of Hermias from Kerkephtha in the Athribite Nome. The two friends are someone whose name begins with "Kap" from the Hermopolis and Nechtheros. Apollon should send them to Deios when and if he gets there. In Greek.
