Historical Note

Founded in 1864, the J. Walter Thompson Company (JWT) is one of the oldest and largest enduring advertising agencies in the United States. It is headquartered in New York. The London Office first opened in 1899. Harry MacAuslan was an executive with JWT London and later with Leo Burnett. Born 1956; began as Graduate Trainee at JWT London 1980; Board of Directors 1988; Head of Account Management 1992-1996; Deputy Chairman 1996. Left JWT to join Leo Burnett 2004.
