Historical Note

Chi Omega is a women's fraternity founded in 1895, and is the largest women's fraternal organization in the world. The Mu Kappa chapter was founded at Duke University on November 6, 1976. Chi Omega is a social organization that also actively supports the Make-A-Wish foundation and promotes scholarly achievement as well as personal development. Annual activities of note include social events such as the Harvest Moon and My Tie dances, fundraising activities for the Make-A-Wish Foundation such as Scoop-a-Dish for Make-A-Wish and Swishes for Wishes, and Eleusinian Founder's Day teas.
