In spite of his many professional and political obligations, Mazzoni
also found the time to write short plays, such as this one,
"The Full Moon of April, or The False Doctor Harlequin's
Honeymoon," a comedy which Mazzoni originally wrote in honor
of a friend's wedding in 1932. Mazzoni at that time was
already 73 years old and was still teaching classes at the
University of Florence. He retired at age 75.
