Writer, printer, and feminist Virginia Woolf was one of the leading figures of modernist literature. Woolf commissioned this oak writing desk, on permanent display in the Rubenstein Library, while she was in her teens and used it until she was around thirty years old. From the Lisa Unger Baskin Collection, David M. Rubenstein Rare Book & Manuscript Library.
