Due to the forecast for winter weather, Duke University and Duke University Health System will activate the severe weather and emergency conditions policy from noon Wednesday through noon Thursday. In-person classes between noon Wednesday and noon Thursday will be canceled. If instructors are able to provide sufficient notice to students, they may transition their in-person classes during that time to an online format, but students should not be penalized if unable to attend. For more information, see the Duke Emergency Status website

Duke University Libraries Grants and Fellowships

The Rudolph William Rosati Visiting Writer Program

The Rudolph William Rosati Visiting Writer Program is currently on hiatus.

The Rosati Fellowship provides support for a creative writer to conduct research in the Duke University Libraries, which include the Perkins & Bostock Libraries (our primary research library); the Lilly Library (art, film, and performing arts); the Biddle Music Library; and the David M. Rubenstein Rare Book & Manuscript Library.

The Rubenstein Library Grants & Fellowships

Duke University’s Rubenstein Rare Book & Manuscript Library and its research centers provide travel grants of up to $1,000 for researchers whose work would benefit from access to the collections held at Duke.  The Rubenstein Library also offers two fellowships of $1,500 for scholars interested in using our German Studies and Jewish Studies collections.
