Most layers date from around 2007-2010, but some data back as far as 1998. For current Durham GIS data, please see the Durham Open Data site.

Each layer is stored as an Esri shapefile, along with its metadata. In some cases, maps have been divided into several pieces and archived for Google Earth's KMZ format, stored here as ZIP archive files.
