Everyday Objects Transformed by the Conflict

This photographic exhibition, which grew out of a DukeEngage trip in 2012, brings together many views and experiences of the conflict in and about Northern Ireland. The exhibit reveals both unique and everyday stories through a range of ordinary objects, with captions written in the words of those who own them. Duke undergraduate Beth Blackwood T’14 helped prepare the original exhibition in Belfast and organized this adapted version in the library.
