April 1, 2024 – January 16, 2025

As we step into April, we embark on a journey of reflection, action, and celebration – it’s EARTH MONTH! 🌍 This annual observance emerged from a rich history of grassroots movements and environmental advocacy, tracing its roots back to the first Earth Day on April 22, 1970. Sparked by the urgent need to address environmental concerns, Earth Day galvanized millions around the world to rally for a healthier, more sustainable planet.

Fast forward to today, and Earth Month has evolved into a global phenomenon, a time when communities, organizations, and individuals unite to honor our planet and promote positive change. And here, at Sustainable Duke, we’re thrilled to invite you to join us in commemorating this pivotal month!

Throughout April, there is an exciting lineup of events and initiatives tailored to inspire, educate, and engage our campus community at Duke. From interactive workshops and thought-provoking discussions to outdoor activities and community clean-ups, there’s something for everyone to get involved in. Together, let’s harness the power of collective action to make a lasting impact on our environment and community. Check out the full schedule at this link
