Miniatures from the Edwin and Terry Murray Collection of Role-Playing Games, 1972-2017

In honor of Duke hosting the 19th annual Serious Play Conference (August 5-9) we are exhibiting just a taste of the Rubenstein Library Collections related to games. These miscellaneous hand-painted miniatures created by several companies were designed to be used as part of tabletop role-playing games. Many date from the 1980s and 1990s were made with lead-based materials, pewter, or plastic. Players could purchase the packs of miniatures and then paint them; many of those seen here were painted by Edwin and Terry Murray. Want to see what other interesting gaming materials are in the RL?
