Highlights from the Duke Libraries Adopt-a-Book Program
The Duke University Libraries Adopt-a-Book Program gives donors the opportunity to support the conservation of library materials in need of repair. These gifts help to keep our collections available for current and future faculty, scholars, and students to use. Funds raised through this program support outsourced conservation treatment, continuing education for our conservators, and the purchase of specialized conservation equipment necessary for the work they do. In this exhibit you will see selected items that have been adopted since 2016 when the Adopt-a-Book Program began. Through these materials you will learn more about what Conservation Services does and discover a fun way to support Duke Libraries’ mission to preserve collections well into the future.
