If you experience or witness harassment, discrimination, or otherwise hurtful behavior in the Libraries, we encourage you to approach a library staff member or complete this incident report form. You may submit this form anonymously.
(for guests without net IDs or library cards)
Those with net IDs or library card numbers should request materials from off-site locations (Library Service Center, Duke Off Site Stacks, etc.) using the green Request button available in the catalog (Books & Media).
Please contact us if you encounter problematic language on our website. We will review the language and, as appropriate, update it in a way that balances preservation of the original context with our ongoing commitment to describing materials with respectful and inclusive language.
Access to library resources may be requested for individuals who are not Duke faculty, staff, or students and would not receive access through normal processes.
Request books and articles from a library other than Duke (available to all Duke users) or for delivery from one Duke library to another Duke library location (available to faculty and graduate students only).
Report maintenance, housekeeping, or pest control issues.
Submit suggestions for library purchases.
Requests that library staff locate a book which is not on the shelf (and not checked out).
Report problems or concerns regarding the Duke University Libraries website.
Requests for placing films on reserve, or for borrowing videos for classroom showings.
